There’s no graceful way to enter into this blog entry after 4 or 5 days of non-blogging, so I’ll just jump.
I’m seriously deficient in Vitamin S right now.
- I spent all day yesterday at Disneyland for my friend’s birthday. (Did you know that you can go to Disney for free on your birthday during 2009? Pretty cool.)
- I spent the day before that getting ready for my her surprise party (which turned out awesome and was the 1st surprise party I ever planned…)
- I spent all of today with my sweet boyfriend and our neighbor talking about the movie Zeitgeist, and business, and ourselves, and each other, and also talking about the amazing food I made today while they were watching Zeitgeist…
And right now…
As I’m sitting here on the futon with the front door open, my back to the windows, and the sun almost all the way down…I’m enjoying my fir…
<Pause>
I was about to say that I was enjoying my first dose of Vitamin S in a while…
But just as I was typing that, my hunny called from the shower asking where the towel was…so the tiny amount of Vitamin S I started to lap up quickly disappeared…
And it’s not likely to come back too soon because a friend of ours from San Diego is coming over because he’s in the neighborhood…
And my sweet one is out of the shower now…
And he loves talking with me and he’s quite verbal. (As if I’m talking about a 2 year old?)
So I’m just witnessing all of this and noticing my Vitamin S deficiency…and how much it stands out to me when I get a tiny dose of it. And how much it feels like oxygen.
I’ll also be considering something I learned from the lovely Jen Louden in her book, The Life Organizer…
I’ll be paying attention to my MDR (minimum daily requirement) for Vitamin S so that I always have plenty.
And ready for some good news?
Our friend from San Diego asked if we wanted to go out to a delicious raw restaurant (Au Lac) which is actually my favorite restaurant…
And I said no because I knew if I stayed home that I’d be able to give myself some super Vitamin S to fill up my reserves…
So yay for me!
The boys are going out for the evening and I’ll be at home with my lovely self and lots of Vitamin S.
(Can you guess what Vitamin S is?)
